Oggcamp 11 – Celebrating Open Technology

Oggcamp 11 is a free two day unconference, for technology, Linux and Free Software enthusiasts, and is organised by the teams that bring you the Linux Outlaws and Ubuntu UK podcasts.

This will be the third year that this popular event has taken place, and each year it gets bigger and better, attracting attendees from across the globe, currently 400 tickets have been issued, with only 70 currently remaining.

Previous Oggcamps have been hosted in Wolverhampton and Liverpool.

The event itself is an unconference, which in format is an unscheduled conference, where the attendees suggest talks or workshops and host their talk on the day. There will be multiple tracks for talks on the day, so there is something for everyone. Talks can be on any topic, and all attendees are encouraged to suggest a talk.

Previously,at Oggcamp, there have been a number of high profile speakers from the open source community such as

  • Campbell Barton – Blender Project
  • Andy Stanford-Clark
  • IBM Master Inventor
  • Simon Phipps – Open Source Initiative

This year there will be other notable guest speakers from the tech and open source communities, which will be announced nearer the time.

Two days of free talks and workshops, the chance to network and work with like minded individuals on your projects. All set in the lovely Farnham countryside.

Oggcamp will be on the 13th and 14th of August, at Farnham Maltings, Farnham, Surrey.
